[vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]From the 10th to 12th May, the XLIX National Lighting Symposium<\/strong><\/a> will take place in Huesca. This record-breaking edition will feature almost 90 presentations and the presence of over 300 attendees<\/strong> from the most important companies in the lighting industry in our country.<\/p>\n

The objective of the event is to analyse and discuss the trends and challenges of the industry based on innovation, research, and sustainability in public lighting<\/strong>, pillars upon which one of the most important challenges of our society rests: energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

As every year, Carandini will be one of the attending companies. On this occasion, we will participate in 3 presentations<\/strong>: one based on recyclability and circular economy<\/strong> in lighting devices, another on adaptive LED lighting in urban tunnels<\/strong>, and a final one in which we will explain the Urban-Centric-Lighting project focused on innovation to improve the health and well-being of people and biodiversity in public spaces<\/strong>. We will also be part of the round table on Smart Cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

RECYCLABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, 10 May at 5pm, Pilar V\u00e1zquez from the Ecolum Foundation<\/a>, and Xavi Traver\u00eda, our technical director & R&D, will give a presentation on the importance of maintenance, updating, and reuse of LED luminaires<\/strong>.\u00a0 They will take the opportunity to present the new “Recyclability Index”<\/strong>, which measures the recyclability of new lighting devices launched on the market to facilitate material recovery, identify those that are less eco-friendly for the environment, and advance towards eco-design and circular economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

ADAPTIVE LED LIGHTING IN URBAN TUNNELS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Together with Roberto Martinez from the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona<\/a>, Xavi Traver\u00eda will explain the success case of the Vila Ol\u00edmpica Tunnel in Barcelona<\/strong>.\u00a0 How its lighting and control system work and the first exploitation conclusions. A technical talk for those interested in knowing how to correctly and efficiently light and control a tunnel or underground installation<\/strong>. The appointment will take place on Thursday, May 12th at 5:15pm.<\/p>\n

Urban-Centric Lighting: collaborative innovation in urban lighting<\/strong><\/p>\n

Urban-Centric Lighting is a collaborative working group<\/strong> energised by the CICAT<\/a> cluster that aims to provide solutions to current problems such as light pollution using new technologies. Carandini is one of the companies in this working group.<\/p>\n

Together with the other participants, Xavi Traver\u00eda will explain to the Symposium attendees what the new intelligent and autonomous lighting installed in “Parc del Molinet”<\/strong> has consisted of. A project with presence sensors that control the intensity and colour of light<\/strong> to provide security to people and, at the same time, protect the biological cycle of species and reduce light pollution.<\/p>\n

SMART CITY ROUNDTABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the last day of the conference, Friday, May 12th, you can find us at the roundtable on Smart Cities<\/strong>, which will take place at the Carlos Saura Auditorium in the Huesca Congress Palace<\/a>.\u00a0 Our technical director, along with representatives from other companies in the industry, will discuss the process and possible solutions to define a smart city<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
