With more than half a century as a leading professional forum, the event will address the challenges of exterior lighting, such as innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency, alongside regulatory and technological developments, through a programme combining keynote sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]As every year, Carandini will attend as an event sponsor and will deliver two technical presentations:[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

Presentation 1: Implementing adaptive lighting in Parc del Molinet (Barcelona)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Sara Arguedas, from the Barcelona Metropolitan Area<\/a> (AMB), and Xavi Traveria, Technical and Marketing Director at Carandini, will present a project that takes adaptive lighting and Human Centric Lighting beyond theory<\/strong>, successfully applying them in a real environment: Parc del Molinet<\/a>. This case study shows that, with today\u2019s available technology, it is possible to create public spaces that are more efficient, sustainable and people-centred.<\/p>\n

The session will explore how to integrate wellbeing, safety and environmental protection within a single solution, <\/strong>reducing light pollution and respecting the ecosystem without compromising visual comfort. Above all, it will demonstrate why this model is replicable: a methodology already applied across different urban contexts that opens the door to a new way of designing public lighting.<\/p>\n

Presentation 2: Analysis of a public lighting installation after 15 years of service on Passeig de la Bonanova (Barcelona)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]What really happens to an LED installation after 15 years in operation?<\/p>\n

In this presentation, Xavier Traveria and Marc Ballb\u00e9 from Asselum Luminot\u00e8cnics<\/a> will share the Passeig de la Bonanova case study, an example that makes it possible to assess, with perspective,<\/strong> the long-term performance of public lighting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bonanova case is particularly insightful. On the one hand, it shows that a well-designed and well-manufactured luminaire can last longer and perform better than some low-cost alternatives. On the other hand, it also highlights that an installation that was state-of-the-art at the time can fall behind compared to today\u2019s advances in efficiency, optics and control systems.<\/p>\n

This dual reading matters: it is not enough to create robust products, we also need luminaires and installations that can be maintained, adapted and upgraded over time.<\/p>\n
