Carandini participates in the 50th National Lighting Symposium in Valencia (Spain)

The National Lighting Symposium will celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 22, 23, and 24 at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, with a record participation of over 400 people and 80 speakers.

This technical lighting conference, organized by the Spanish Lighting Committee for half a century, brings together national and international experts for three days. Participants will debate and exchange opinions on the evolution and latest technologies in solar lighting, sustainability applied to public lighting, smart sensing, and smart cities, among other topics.

As every year, Carandini will be one of the event sponsors and will participate in two presentations alongside Ecolum and Rubatec.

SMART LABEL, SUSTAINABILITY AND ZHAGA: OPEN AND INTEROPERABLE TRACEABILITY

Xavi Traveria from Carandini and Sergio Somavilla from Rubatec will lead this presentation focused on the key role of the maintainer in the renewal of LED lighting. They will explain the tools that new technologies provide us: smart labels, the standard Zhaga protocol, and Ecolum certification, to be more efficient and sustainable at a time when LED luminaires are already starting to be renewed.

With sustainability as the main objective and without energy efficiency being the primary reason for the change, Xavi and Sergio will discuss how to create the necessary conditions to prolong the lifetime of luminaires through preventive maintenance operations.

The presentation will take place next Thursday, May 23, at 12:00 PM at the Santiago Grisolía Auditorium in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.

RECYCLABILITY INDEX: CONCLUSIONS ONE YEAR AFTER ITS LAUNCH

A year after Pilar Vázquez, director of the Ecolum Foundation, and Xavi Traveria, technical and R&D director at Carandini, presented the revolutionary recyclability index at the National Lighting Symposium in Huesca, they return to headline this presentation to showcase the results obtained since the certification’s launch. Additionally, they will analyze the importance of eco-design in the manufacture of lighting solutions and discuss the steps Europe is taking to achieve a Europe-wide valuation.

Don’t miss this interesting talk next Friday, May 24, at 1:00 PM at the Santiago Grisolía Auditorium in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
