The city of Pelhřimov, located in the Vysočina region in the heart of the Czech Republic, is known for its rich history, traditional architecture, and commitment to sustainable urban development. As part of the city’s efforts to revitalize public spaces and encourage community life, a few months ago the City Council transformed the central park Mezi školami, situated between schools near Jirsíkova Street — a key area marked by important educational institutions such as the Gymnázium a Obchodní akademie and the Municipal Library.

This park, previously neglected and underused, has been turned into a pleasant place for leisure, designed for the enjoyment of the local community. One of the improvements made was the renovation of the lighting system, with the installation of Carandini’s C-Line solution using 38 W and a 3000 K color temperature, which provides a warm and comfortable light—ideal for creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere during the evening.

The luminaires were installed on decorative 3.5-meter poles painted in RAL 7015, the same color as the floodlights, ensuring aesthetic harmony with the surroundings and existing urban furniture.

Thanks to this intervention, the park has completely changed its identity, going from a neglected space to a new community gathering point where residents of all ages can enjoy their free time. This project demonstrates how modern and well-designed lighting can revitalize a public space, improving safety, aesthetics, and the functionality of the urban environment.
