HFT, THE NEW EMERGENCY SOLUTION FOR TUNNELS

Carandini is expanding its solutions for tunnels with the new HFT, an emergency pedestrian luminaire with latest generation LED technology.

It is specifically designed to be used as emergency lighting installed at low levels and it complies with tunnel emergency standards OC 36/2015, RD 635/2066, CIE88-2004 and UNE CR 14380.

Highly resistant materials

Manufactured with coextruded polycarbonate, the new HFT luminaire is highly robust and resistant to mechanical impacts (IK 10). Thanks to its PC protective cover sealed to the body, it also offers a high level of water tightness (IP 66), perfect for cleaning with a jet of water or a roller.

To prevent potential electrical failures, the new HFT comes with overvoltage protection, ensuring excellent reliability in especially sensitive areas in terms of security such as tunnels and underpasses.

With sturdy, high-quality components, this LED luminaire has a high level of protection against corrosion, falls and vibrations, ensuring powerful performance.

Easy maintenance

It includes one or two quick connectors for installation without opening the unit. It also has a new wall mounting system that makes it easy for workers to install, thereby saving time.

If necessary, thanks to its innovative design, the driver and the plate that contains the LEDs can be easily accessed: just remove two screws from the side access door.

A sustainable, versatile luminaire

Sustainability has always been one of Carandini’s five core values. We take our responsibility for the environment very seriously, so all the design processes for our products comply with the requirements of the WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives.

The new HFT is designed and manufactured in accordance with these two standards and has a recyclability rate of 94.57% and a maximum carbon footprint per use of 0.019039Kg kW/h of CO2

Another of its main characteristics is its versatility. It has four different sizes (N, S, M and L) and three configuration options (permanent, non-permanent and updatable (hybrid)) in one- and two-hour versions. All these options mean that this new luminaire can be adapted to any type of tunnel or infrastructure with similar characteristics.
