The Oriente Tunnel, located in the north of Colombia, is the second longest tunnel in the whole of Latin America and connects the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley with the San Nicolás Valley; two regions of great importance for the province in which it is located and which has significant industrial, tourism and mobility dynamics.

The Oriente tunnel consists of the Seminar tunnel, at 772 m, and the Santa Elena tunnel ,at 8,200 m, and is one of the most important infrastructures in the country. together with the La Línea tunnel, which is also illuminated by Carandini.

Thanks to the high specifications of the T-MAX luminaire, a high quality lighting solution has been provided, offering high uniformity and making the tunnel much safer for all vehicle traffic every day.

Almost 900 T-MAX floodlights, designed specifically for tunnel lighting, provide light for the important infrastructure. Its high degree of robustness was a decisive factor in the installation of this floodlight, and the optical distributions available for it allowed a reduction in the number of luminaires placed, and therefore the electrical outlets and lighting control nodes.
