The new generation of the CTR electrified rail is here, designed to deliver superior performance and meet the demands of modern industry. With an energy efficiency of up to 190 lm/W and an IP40 protection rating, this version weighs a mere 1.9 kg (luminaire) and represents a significant step forward in terms of lightness, functionality, and sustainability.

It offers selectable power ranging from 30 W to 74 W with a luminous flux of between 5,754 and 13,151 lm, has a 3-hour emergency option, and can operate between temperatures of -20° and +40°. Thanks to its compact, refined design, it can be discretely integrated into any indoor industrial environment, all while providing a modern appearance without compromising on efficiency.

MODULAR ARCHITECTURE FOR MAXIMUM ADAPTABILITY

The CTR system’s flexibility means that it can be easily adapted to the current requirements of a space and also anticipate any future changes. In industrial environments, where layout modifications are common, the lighting system often needs to be adjusted, even shortly after an upgrade. Thanks to its modular design and intuitive connectivity, CTR makes it easy to modify or expand the number of luminaires quickly and effortlessly.

The system is based on 1.5- or 3-metre rails that are easily assembled, creating continuous structures that are fully tailored to each project. Luminaires are connected directly to the rail, speeding up both installation and maintenance, all without the need for tools.

Each luminaire module includes wiring, the driver, and its own connector, simplifying the system and eliminating the need for additional components. CTR also features a wide range of accessories to suit any configuration: bottom and side covers, cable glands, corner connectors, and various mounting brackets depending on the type of installation.

HIGH-QUALITY LIGHTING FOR BETTER PRODUCTIVITY AND VISUAL COMFORT IN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTS 

CTR provides high-quality light designed to enhance productivity, visual comfort, and workplace safety. With a colour rendering index (CRI) of over 80, it ensures excellent colour perception — essential for tasks that require high levels of precision and attention to detail. Its high-efficiency optics, available in six different distributions for assembly heights of between 4 and 15 meters, ensure uniform, glare-free lighting to reduce visual fatigue even during long work shifts.

Built for complex industrial settings, CTR combines performance and resilience. Its IP40 protection rating — guaranteed by an effective sealing system that uses coupling gaskets and specific end caps — protects against the ingress of dust and ensures reliable operation even in harsh conditions.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND INTUITIVE FOR HASSLE-FREE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

Carandini’s new linear system is designed to make installation and maintenance fast and efficient, reducing downtime and operational costs. Thanks to the rails of up to 3 metres long and a tool-free system, long sections can be assembled in just a few steps, with luminaires that click into place on the rail. This simplicity also extends to maintenance tasks. As the modules can be accessed directly, replacements or adjustments can be made without dismantling components or using additional tools, speeding up any interventions. At just 1.9 kg, the lightweight structure can be handled and installed by a single operator.

SMART LIGHTING FOR TOTAL EFFICIENCY 

CTR is compatible with the DALI communication protocol, which makes it possible to precisely regulate the light and tailor it to the needs of each space. Combined with management systems such as Controlux Industrial, it enables optimal use of natural light, enhances visual comfort, and reduces energy consumption. Lighting is activated only when needed thanks to the predefined on/off schedules via a calendar. This enables efficient, flexible, and sustainable lighting management that adapts to the real pace of each facility.

With a luminous efficacy of up to 190 lm/W and a 50,000-hour LED lifespan (L80), it significantly reduces energy consumption and carbon footprint, while also extending the product’s service life.

Thanks to its modular design, a luminaire module can be replaced without changing the entire profile, supporting the circular economy by reducing waste and extending the product’s service life. Additionally, the packaging has been optimised to match the exact size of the product, minimising waste and improving logistical efficiency.
