The business park Media Park in Hilversum, Netherlands, is the largest media cluster in Europe. It is home to over 100 major Dutch communication and media companies and serves as the main headquarters of the Dutch national public broadcasting system (NPO).

Approximately 6,000 people who work there daily also have access to various restaurants and recreational and cultural spaces such as the Beeld & Geluid museum. In addition to employees, Media Park attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to attend the different television programmes recorded in the various studios owned by the networks.

A NEW HIGHLY EFFICIENT LIGHTING SYSTEM

In 2023, Media Park decided to replace the inefficient discharge luminaires outside the business park as they did not provide the required light levels. The chosen solution for the renovation was the SPIN luminaire from Carandini in its two sizes, M and S, with a color temperature of 3000K.

This new installation, carried out in collaboration with Avalite, our partner in the Netherlands, has enabled significant energy savings thanks to the 160lm/W offered by this luminaire, as well as an aesthetic modernization of the different buildings and the surroundings, characterized by modern and avant-garde architecture and design.

The achieved color rendering index (CRI) was 70, an excellent result contributing to the creation of a visually pleasant, functional environment with exceptional representation of colors, details, and nuances of objects.
