
The Port of Limay–Porcheville is the main river–sea platform in Île‑de‑France, handling more than one million tonnes of river traffic per year and offering a capacity of 30,000 TEU. Covering 125 hectares, it specialises in industrial logistics, materials and recycling, playing an important role in the circular economy and sustainable transport thanks to its multimodal connections (river, rail and road).
It forms part of the HAROPA PORT system, which brings together the major ports along the Seine corridor (Le Havre, Rouen and Paris), creating a key logistical route for supplying the Paris region.
LIGHTING UPGRADE TO IMPROVE VISIBILITY
In 2025, with the aim of strengthening operational safety, the port installed a new lighting system to improve visibility on its west and east quays. To achieve this, it required robust, efficient and reliable LED luminaires capable of delivering optimal lighting levels in a highly demanding logistics environment.
HAROPA PORT selected CITYMAT as supplier and Dalkia Electrotechnics as installer, choosing Carandini’s Athlos floodlight for its performance, durability and proven ability to operate in industrial port conditions.
In total, eight Athlos floodlights have been installed, configured at 3000 K and designed to provide 15 lux with a uniformity of 0.4, ensuring clear, even and safe illumination across the working areas.

A QUALITATIVE LEAP IN SAFETY AND VISIBILITY
The new lighting system represents a turning point: enhanced efficiency, improved illumination and greater safety for loading, unloading and transit operations, even under changing weather conditions.
The newly installed Athlos floodlights combine mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and precision optics that direct light exactly where it is needed while preventing glare.
With this upgrade, the port takes a decisive step towards a lighting solution that is robust, safe and tailored to industrial activity, strengthening its position as a strategic hub along the river–sea corridor of northern France.
