The Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, located in Rabat, has established itself as one of Morocco’s premier sports venues following its complete reconstruction in 2025. With a capacity of 69,500 spectators, the stadium ranks among the largest in the country and holds a prominent position in the national sports landscape. Designed to host top-tier competitions, it was the venue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and will be one of the stages for the FIFA World Cup 2030, reinforcing Rabat’s role as a host city for major international events.
A LIGHTING PROJECT AIMED AT EXCELLENCE
As part of this major transformation, Carandini contributed to the project by providing lighting solutions for the stadium’s exterior areas, including the parking lots, access roads, and surrounding green spaces. Developed in collaboration with Lamalif, Carandini’s partner in Morocco, the project met its objectives in energy efficiency, visual comfort, and safety through the installation of nearly 2,000 LED luminaires from the Century, T-Max, Athlos, and T-Line families.
Each solution was selected for its high performance and long-term reliability, featuring a color temperature of 4000 K and a color rendering index (CRI) of 70, ensuring uniform illumination and optimal visibility across the stadium’s exterior areas, both during high-attendance events and in daily use.
